Ars Electronica Festival 2026: Future Begins

Ars Electronica Festival 2026 runs September 9–13 in Linz, Austria, presenting exhibitions, performances, concerts, conferences, and workshops across multiple city locations under the theme "Future Begins".

Since 1979, the Ars Electronica Festival has brought together artists, scientists, technologists, and cultural practitioners around the intersection of art, technology, and society. The 2026 edition runs across three main areas — OK QUARTER, MED CAMPUS, and DANUBE TRIANGLE — with additional locations throughout downtown Linz. The thematic concepts for the year are "Future Begins" and "Negotiating Humanity", marking 47 years since the first festival and 30 years since the opening of the Ars Electronica Center.
